Swiss institute

A Swiss institute diploma certifies your knowledge

Graduates are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Technology. The Swiss International Institute Lausanne (SIIL) diploma comes with a supplement listing the courses, grades and ECTS: employers see not just the program title, but its content, volume and workload.

Three independent grounds for trust

Each can be verified independently - no need to contact a manager.

SIIL has passed an independent institutional assessment

External experts assessed the institute's educational processes, governance, internal quality assurance and other aspects of its work. The result is institutional accreditation by the IAAR agency (certificate AA 0298).

Verify SIIL in the IAAR registry
Why IAAR status matters

IAAR is a member of ENQA and is registered in EQAR. The status of the accreditation agency itself can be verified in European sources.

Frequently asked questions

What does IAAR institutional accreditation confirm?

Institutional accreditation means that external experts assessed the institute as a whole: its educational processes, governance and internal quality assurance - and found them compliant with the agency's standards. It is an assessment of the institute, not of an individual program.

Can I verify SIIL's status myself?

Yes. SIIL's record is published in the open IAAR registry - verification requires no registration or contacting the institute. Open SIIL's record in the registry. The status of the IAAR agency itself can be checked in the European ENQA and EQAR databases.

What do the Bologna system and ECTS provide?

They make the program “readable” for external assessment: a university or employer sees the program level, course list, workload and total volume of study in clear European units, not just the diploma title.

Does accreditation mean automatic recognition of the diploma?

Accreditation and ECTS are assessment tools: they let a university or employer quickly understand the level, content and workload of a program. Each organization makes its own recognition decision under its own rules and national legislation, so recognition is not automatic. SIIL's open documents make this procedure noticeably easier.

What does the Canton of Vaud letter confirm?

A confirmation letter of inclusion in the list of private educational institutions of the Canton of Vaud (under migration legislation) was issued by the cantonal Population Service on 3 June 2021. It allows the migration service to consider foreign students' applications for temporary residence for study purposes. Each application is decided individually.
